In her own words:
How it started: “I was exposed to Lacrosse at a really young age. I have 5 siblings who went through the Granby Youth Lacrosse program, 4 played at Granby High School, and 3 went on to play in college. From the beginning, I loved being part of a team; it was a way to have fun with my friends and teammates. Over time, I grew to love Lacrosse for the sport itself. It combined all the things I love, fast pace, technique, and physicality. My mom helped coach Granby Youth Lacrosse with Coach Jones when I was younger, and my sister helped me practice at home. It was one of my favorite things about it, it was a family sport.”
How's it going: “After Middle School, I knew without a doubt that I wanted to continue to play Lacrosse in High School. At first, I was nervous because it was a bigger collective team, there were two separate teams (JV and Varsity), and the players were much older than I was used to. During my Freshman year, I was bumped up to Varsity, and I knew right away I needed to keep working hard in order to maintain that position and growth. In the next three years, I made a lot of connections with coaches and players. As a senior, I have the honor of being a Co-Captain. I am proud of how our team has played together and am looking forward to a strong finish. Next year, I have committed to playing Lacrosse for the Eastern CT State Warriors. I am excited to see what the future brings for me, future Lacrosse players, and this sport.”
